Biography

 

 

Currently completing a Master of Letters (MLitt) degree in Gothic Studies at University of Stirling, Christopher has research interests that range from the literary Gothic of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries to Gothic cinema.  He is also interested in such literary theories as ecocriticism and postcolonial studies.  Born and raised in California, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with honours from California State University Fullerton and a Master of Arts degree in English literature from University of Bristol.  Before commencing his current programme at University of Stirling, he obtained a teaching certification in Texas, where he taught English Language Arts in secondary school for two years.  Christopher has been accepted as a PhD candidate at University of Sheffield where, starting September 2015, he will continue pursuing his research interests in the Gothic.
